Today I fiberglassed the deck! So far it looks good. Will come back in about 3-4 hours and trim the edges once it gets to the "green stage". Should be very easy to trim.
The fiberglass is 1.4 oz. cloth that I bought from ACP Composites. They sell even lighter cloth to the RC airplane people and RC glider folks. Normal boats would have several layers of 6 oz. cloth as a comparison. Most marine stores like West Marine only sell the really heavy cloth so you have to go to a specialty place like ACP Composites to get this lighter cloth.
Tomorrow I will sand any lumps and bumps (although it looks fairly flat right now) and then add a second coat of epoxy (but not fiberglass).
Peace! _/)
