Got the sides epoxied on today. Now to let them cure overnight and tomorrow hopefully I can find time to fair out the sides along the chine logs in preparation for the bottom planking. The sides are 1/16" ply. Was able to find 48" x 12" sheets of it at Galaxy Hobby in Lynnwood, WA. You can also find it online. If you are going for an extremely light hull you could get away with 1/32" ply but it might telegraph the internal frames through the sides. That is, you might not have as smooth of a curve and instead see bends around each frame. I like the strength of 1/16"... it's plenty tough and yet still holds a nice curve.
Will try to get started on the bottom planking Tuesday.
Spent some time today thinking about making a transmitter tray for my radios. If you have any great ideas please add a comment.
Peace!
